Hi there!
Now that I have a blog over at The New Inquiry, it doesn’t really seem necessary or useful to have this wordpress blog as simply a mirror of what I do over there. So I’m going to let myself experiment with different ways of using this platform. Dunno what that’s going to look like. What it will probably mean is that the more longform stuff, the more polished and essayistic writing, will migrate over there, primarily (though I’ll still link to it from here), while this blog will meanwhile turn into something more like a blog: it will be fragmentary, more personal, probably of less general interest, and — first and foremost — I’m not going to worry too much about it beforehand. It’ll be what it’ll be, whatever that will turn out to be.
So we ARE going to have follow the other blog as well? I was hoping to avoid that, but OK.
I could complain about multi-platform authors like you and Scott Kauffman, but since I’ve got three semi-active history blogs, a twitter feed and four course blogs (plus the odd HNN piece), I really can’t talk.
Heh. I decided I wanted a place to put silly ephemera. I suppose I should just get a tumblr like everyone else.
I thought that’s what twitter was for…. and pintrest. And livejournal. And….
